grocery store “Mole”

This is a sort of quick and easy sauce meant to mimic the taste of a Mole using ready made products.

Ingredients:

  • One 12 oz can of tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 1/2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1/3 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  • Simply place all of your ingredients together into a bowl and stir until well combined. You may need to add more salt to your taste.
  • This sauce can be used as is for dipping, and spreading on tacos, but can also be used as a marinade for tofu and plenty of other foods.
