Directions:

  • Cut and core your apples into wedges, the same size you would cut for a platter or a child to eat. They do not need to be peeled.
  • Add these to a mason jar (4 cup size).
  • Cut your onions into thin slices about the size you’d use for a burger, and remove the skin from your garlic. Smash your garlic slightly so it will release its flavors.
  • Add all of your ingredients into the jar with your apples. Now add water into the jar until your apples have been completely covered You may have to push some of the apples down.
  • Place the lid on your jar and and shake well to make sure everything is mixed together.
  • These taste best after sitting over night in the fridge, and you can shake the jar every now and then to get everything mixed. At the very least let sit for 4 hours in a refrigerator.
  • If you plan to use these apples for a salad or tacos dice into small pieces. Or use as is in a dip.
